VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH APRIL Evelyn Mitchell

Congratulations to Evelyn Mitchell for being chosen as Volunteer of the Month. Evelyn has been a volunteer since May 2015. Evelyn has had a total of 8 cases. For 10 consecutive years Evelyn has advocated for our children that were in need of care. Through hurricanes, floods, snow events and pandemics, Evelyn remained focused on her CASA children. Evelyn created a safe space for her CASA children so that they would not feel forgotten or overlooked. She has been there for them not just during moments of calm, but also during times of uncertainty and distress.

Evelyn, you are a shining example of what it means to give selflessly. You offer not just time, but consistency, hope, and a voice in court. You understand that working with our CASA children and the foster care system is not for the faint of heart. It requires patience, understanding, and resilience. And you, Evelyn possess all those qualities in abundance.
